1.應用范圍: 華巨電子過流保護型PTC熱敏電阻主要用于[變壓器(適配器)/初級線圈/充電器/數字萬用表/智能電度表/微電機/晶體管]等的過流過熱保護,直接串聯在負載電路中,在線路出現異常狀況時,能夠自動限制過電流或阻斷電流,當故障排除后又恢復原態,俗稱“萬次保險絲”。

3.應用原理:
將過流保護型型PTC熱敏電阻串聯在電源回路中,當電路處于正常狀態時,流過PTC的電流小于額定電流,PTC處于常態,阻值很小,不會影響電子鎮流器(節能燈、變壓器、萬用表)等被保護電路的正常工作。當電路電流大大超過額定電流時,PTC陡然發熱,阻值驟增至高阻態,從而限制或阻斷電流,保護電路不受損壞。電流電流回復正常后,PTC亦自動回復至低阻態,電路恢復正常工作。

使用PTC作為過流保護元件,一般應選取最大不動作電流、最大工作電壓合適的規格,同時也應考慮元件的外形尺寸、額定零功率電阻、使用溫度范圍等因素。通常取電路正常工作時的最大工作電流的1.2~1.5倍為PTC最大不動作電流;線路在正常或不正常狀態下可能施加到PTC上的電壓應不大于其最大工作電壓。

·用于485,232等接口電路保護
自動抄表技術在電表應用中越來越流行,該技術為電表提供通信端口遠程讀取數據,RS-485是一種簡單、廉價而且可靠的通信規范,而PTC熱敏電阻能為RS-485電表線路可提供過壓,過流保護,譬如RS-485總線與電力線(例如,220/380V)短路時.
WMZ12A-85A50RMU,WMZ12A-85BHV68RMU是設計專門對RS-485電表線路進行過流,過載保護的一種PTC.當線路處于正常狀態時,
PTC處于常態,阻值很小,不會影響被保護電路的正常工作.當電路出現故障,電流增大,
PTC呈現高阻態,使電路處于相對”斷開”狀態,從而保護RS-485接口不受損壞,當故障排除后,
PTC亦自動回復到低阻態.
